Sunglaciers (Calgary, AB)
Sunglaciers’ music blurs the boundaries between dazzling indie-rock and icy post-punk experimentation. On the Calgary band's sophomore LP, Subterranea, co-produced by Chad VanGaalen (Flemish Eye, Sub Pop) and mixed by Mark Lawson (Arcade Fire, Yves Jarvis), they carve out new sonic spaces with laser focus. While past releases explored a maximalist approach, these 13 songs emerge and vanish in rapid succession, never outstaying their welcome.

Grimiss
Grimiss is a psychedelic glitch-rock power duo. Ryan Tippmann performs necromancy on guitars and drum machines with eerie ease. Tristina Bumgarner thrusts her vocal fury into the mix, leaving a trail of fire and sweat. Together, they combine their cosmic powers to continually vanquish the forces of inanity and boredom with celestial hymns of ‘fuck yeah’ energy.
