Scott Yoder - Emerging from the wreckage of his childhood band The Pharmacy, SCOTT YODER arrived clad in a black cloak, stomping to the beat of his own sparkling tambourine. Aseitas with Wastewalker and Emberthrone + Between Realms & Post Heaven
Aseitas leads the charge with a dissonant blend of progressive death metal and avant-garde heaviness. Dubbed “PDX death metal tyrants,” Aseitas are fresh off the release of their 3rd album Eden Trough (2024)
Emberthrone (Sacramento, CA) brings blistering technical death metal laced with blackened brutality. This 4-piece – featuring Monte Barnard (ex-Alterbeast, The Kennedy Veil) and Gabe Seeber (Decrepit Birth, Vale of Pnath) among its ranks – dropped their ferocious debut EP Godless Wonder in 2022, establishing themselves as a new force in the tech-death scene.
Between Realms, a rising death metal act from California’s gold country. Formed in 2023 by longtime friends Jonny Burnett and Hayden Taylor, Between Realms season their modern death metal with thrash and black metal influences and shred-worthy 80’s-style guitar harmonies. Fronted by Monte Barnard (of Thy Art Is Murder/Fallujah fame) and powered by Gabe Seeber’s drumming (Vale of Pnath, Alterbeast, The Kennedy Veil), the band’s debut From Boundless Black (2024) quickly gained international traction – and now they’re poised to tear up the Portland stage.
Post Heaven Melodic Black/Death Metal
Don’t miss this rare chance to see four heavy-hitters in one venue, each delivering a unique strain of extreme metal – from experimental and progressive to melodic, blackened, and beyond. The Six Below Midnight (the subterranean venue beneath The Midnight Society bar) will rumble with blast beats and shredding solos all night.

Mt Fog with Twingle and Tispur
Mt Fog A conscious mycelial network and perhaps "Seattle's premier art pop eccentric" (Bandcamp Daily), Mt Fog began as the project of singer and classically-trained violinist Carolyn B. and has been "expanded now to large, euphoric dimensions and laced with connective tissues of drum and bass" (dusted mag) with Andy Sells and Casey Rosebridge. Mt Fog has been enchanting audiences across the Northwest and most recently, Europe, with their high energy, haunted-forest performances. Their new album ultraviolet heart machine has been called "thrillingly theatrical" (Bandcamp Daily), and “a vulnerable, transformative experience" (WASH). Featured in KEXP and named by critics a top album of 2024 in the Seattle Times,it is out on vinyl via Ghost Mountain Records.
Tispur is a dream-folk project fronted by Samwise Carlson which forms intricate guitar, dream-like vocals, and ornate lyricism to excite evocative imagery of imaginary worlds. Samwise is known for their angelic vocal style, impressive range and gently hypnotic, moving performances akin to the spirits of Nick Drake, Vashti Bunyan, and Joanna Newsom.
Twingle is the moniker of songstress and multi instrumentalists Anna Sabatino based out of Portland, OR. Raised in a one room cabin in the small town of Evergreen, Colorado she began writing songs at young age featuring guitar and banjo. Her roots are in oldtimey folk and bluegrass, but later went on to realms of Experimental/Psychedelic/French pop which all work to cultivate her sound and melodic patterns. Her songs live somewhere in the realm of familiar but entirely unexpected. Twingle’s debut album Future Caviar coming out August 18th 2024, is a can of worms focusing on the personal lives of female writers of the 19th and 20th century. The album was recorded to tape in the garage of Anna and Eric Sabatino. Produced by their dear friend Tommy Hollywood.

PillowPrince (OAK) with Lackadaisy and secret special guests !
Pillowprince is an Oakland-based indie gaze band that makes rock from cracking folds of leather and glittering chain link, from nights of red-gelled stage lights and mornings after that are way too bright, from hair matted with joy and danger and most of all from bodies making places for themselves only they know.
Songwriter and guitarist Olivia Lee sings about queer joy, pain, love and subversion, punctuating raw sincerity with vibrant brooding guitar riffs. Together with Sea Snyder on drums, they create dense, propulsive shoegaze anthems.
Massive and melodious, Pillowprince ebbs and flows between a dramatic intimate grandeur and irreverent indie pop on their debut EP, pretty, baby!, coming out on Dune Altar Records on April 25, 2025. (for fans of Palehound ,Mannequin Pussy ,True Widow, DIIV, Squirrel Flower, The Breeders)
Lackadaisy is a Portland based grunge duo formed in the summer of 2024 by Ryan Garaventa and Jenna Leigh. Drawing inspiration from ’90s icons like The Breeders and Pavement, Lackadaisy aims to capture the raw, fun energy of making music with friends, all while not giving a fuck.
Their debut single, "Don't You Wanna Feel," dropped in March 2025, accompanied by a self-produced music video, followed closely by their second single, "Train," in April, with a self-produced music video as well—both self-recorded with guidance from David Pollock (Wild Ones, Cake), who also mixed and mastered the tracks. Pollock is set to mix and master their upcoming full-length album, slated for a late summer release.
While Lackadaisy operates as a duo in the studio, their live shows expand into a four-piece, with David Burrows (Mitch and the Melody Makers, Moody Idaho) on Guitar and Keys, and Nate Anderson (Friends Friends, Buddy Wynkoop) on drums, bringing their songs to life with full-band intensity.

Tension/ Release compilation showcase presented by Errorgrid and Heterodox
Errorgrid is an art community showcasing the work of experimental electronic music artists with a strong focus on investigating human nature, emotions and themes around resilience, interrelations and boundless self expression. Using music as a gateway for exploration, healing and self observation lies at our core.
We seek to provide platforms on which musicians can celebrate their truth free of genre constraints or cultural judgment while finding appreciation and useful feedback from their peers and listeners alike.
Our core belief is that while technology is an inherent part of our art and provides us with the tools necessary for its creation we must refrain from allowing it to interfere with the essence of the message in order to preserve the innate humaneness that speaks through our art. Our analogue truth must not become quantized.
"Electronic music is electronic in its doing, not in its being."
About the event:
Tension/Release is the first Errorgrid showcase in its new Portland home and celebrates the release of the compilation "Tension/Release 2" - a joint effort between Errorgrid and local label Heterodox Records, directed by local artists Nundale and Puxflux.
Built around the concept of polarizing energies it presents a selection of Oregon based artists who were asked to contribute tracks to either energy in order to form a balanced whole. The compilation lives from the individual interpretation as well as the allover curation of these single energies.
Attendees to the show will receive a 50% discount to download the compilation on Bandcamp and have access to exclusive merch only available at the event.
Filming and photography will take place. With your attendance you sign off the rights to be visible in any footage produced.
The show will be live recorded and made available to the public via Errorgrid.

NUG Portland based band blending post-punk, 90s indie rock, grunge, and shoegaze sounds to create something one fan affectionately (we think) called "a blend between parquet courts and the grateful dead".
Midnight Morning Grunge/Rock - Vancouver, WA. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Midnight Morning is a musical brotherhood that has seen it all.
Die Right– Sweat, swagger, and six-string salvation. These Portland punks got the raw nerve and the mean hooks to shake your bones loose. No frills, no filler—just loud, dirty, and dangerous rock & roll the way it’s meant to be. Get in, get wild, and let it hit you like a fist full of lightning.
Monty Vega & The Sittin' Shivas “are one of my favorite discoveries of 2021 so far. The band’s ’60s power pop meets Ramones-esque punk sound had me rocking out from the opening notes of “Last Step,” the first of fourteen tracks jammed onto this album. The needle on the gauge between their power pop and Ramones influences swings from track to track, but I enjoyed the variety this provided. Every one of the songs on Closed No Fun is a banger, making it hard to pick a favorite, but there’s also nothing that you don’t want to hear after repeated listens. I particularly enjoyed their cover of Scandal’s “Goodbye to You,” an example obviously leaning more towards the power pop end of their sound, but with an edge to their version not present in the original.”

Join us for the next edition of Secret Society, co-hosted by *Def Not A Cult, a dance party with Mr Jennings, Pacific Patterns, Loopacabra, and Mienne.
Secret Society is a party series curated by Loopacabra, an American house music producer and Beatport charting artist. Def Not a Cult is a new party series by the renowned DJ and producer Mienne. With many successful collaborations under their belts, Loopacabra and Mienne have reunited to co-host this event.
We are incredibly lucky to have two amazing incredible artists, Mr Jennings and Pacific Patterns, headlining this limited capacity event.
Mr Jennings - A sophisticated technique for the delivery of squidges, squooshes, bleeps, blops, and other peculiar sounds. Best administered through a wall of subwoofers at an assembly of gyrating humanoid creatures. Sounds like: “a psychedelic after-school Satan Club for Furiosas and Lost Boys" See also: “going to a fancy southern banquet to drink malt
liquor out of plastic gasoline jugs”
Bass music, but not just a wall of sound! Think dirty bass, 808s, and thick analog synths but with a big ole helping of certified booty bouncin’ grooves. The dancefloor is calling ...
Mr Jennings is a founder of the Richmond, VA based collective Party Liberation Front and spent over a decade throwing underground parties up and down the east coast before moving to Portland, OR to make beats and eat noodles. He’s also a manager at Burning Man Information Radio and LOVES sharing music and shenanigans in the dust. ❤️
Pacific Patterns - Portland-based electronic music producer Pacific Patterns is known for striking a balance between hard-hitting West Coast bass and psychedelic atmospheres and melodies. His sets deliver a wide range of eclectic dance music. Pacific Patterns originally made a name for himself by pushing unique sounds and releasing music with labels such as Phuture Collective, Street Ritual, and Jadu Dala. He has performed across the Western United States at various festivals and venues, recently shaking stages at Lightning in a Bottle and Camp Questionmark at Burning Man. He is a founding member of the Beverage Collective, a group of electronic musicians that includes Underbelly, Noer The Boy, and buhlü.
Mienne - has been involved in dance culture for nearly two decades. She has always been a performance artist; initially as a belly dancer, her natural sense of movement and rhythm translated gracefully into her journey as a DJ. Her Libran love of balance (and variety!) makes her uniquely adept at setting a sonic scene that elicits journeys across desert tundra, into a dark foggy club, through the expansiveness of space, and SPLAT onto a jiggling subwoofer. Whether it’s bass/tech house or West Coast bass, you can expect to see smiling faces and feel your booty wiggle.
Loopacabra = is an American musician and DJ. His productions span a range of electronic music and often defy genre. He has been playing music since childhood and started releasing albums in 2012 under the moniker NOJESUS, a duo that he formed with his best friend Mummyfingaz. In 2016 he commenced a solo career that within a few short years had him performing for thousands at clubs, festivals, and Burning Man. In 2021 Loopacabra and frequent collaborator Mienne joined Brazilian bass house label Muzenga Records for a series of releases. In 2023 the pair teamed up with rapper [E]mpress for the High Freq Vibe EP, which was released on Feral One Records and broke into the Beatport top ten in several different categories.
He is known for his high energy music and has performed alongside artists such as Bijou, Ghastly, Justin Jay, Justin Martin, J.Phlip, Malaa, Matroda, Nala, Sonny Fodera, TOKiMONSTA, Tycho, Walker & Royce and many others. After self-recording multiple albums in practice studios and garages, the band entered Station House studio in Echo Park, Los Angeles in early 2024. Coming out of months of jamming, the band carved out a collection of songs. From blues vamps to spaced-out bliss, the psychedelic roots shine through on the group’s fifth LP.
Formed in San Francisco in 2009, the early formation of The Spyrals was known for their live performances. Playing around the Bay Area in the fertile SF scene, they gained notoriety with support from Aquarius Records Store in the Mission District and other SF staples. The 2012 self-titled record solidified the band’s reputation as purveyors of West Coast psych rock.

The Apricots with North by North (chicago) and Valkerie
The Apricots are an indie-folk-rock band from Portland, OR that thrives on vocal harmony. At their core, they're just a group of best friends that have found purpose in this band. Their songs will make you swoon one minute and groove the next.
North By North is the rock & roll dream of two weirdos from Chicago, IL. Their garage-y power-pop sound has been forged through years of teen angst, twenty-something alienation, sleeping in vans, and practically living on a stage.
Anchored by syrupy vocal hooks, roaring guitar and bombastic drums, North by North produces a huge sound that has captivated thousands of people over hundreds of performances and festivals around the world.
Since 2017, Nate Girard (guitar, vocals) and Kendra Blank (drums) have performed over 1000 shows throughout the US, Canada, and Europe, all while handling their own booking, publicity and management.
Valkerie is an alternative rock four piece hailing from the forest canopies of Portland, OR. It's a space for big feelings to be expressed dramatically.

Mini Blinds with Nate Wey & The Soft Colors and Mike Mannequin
Mini Blinds Formed as a duo in Portland, OR in late 2015, both Beth Ann Dear (Appendixes) and Devin Welch (Shoplifting, Past Lives, Vice Device, Appendixes) have been playing music in the Pacific Northwest in some form for most of their lives. Drawing influences from 90s female fronted alt-rock, 80s British twee & shoegaze, the Paisley Underground, and K records, they have created a sound with many layers and a common thread. In 2016 they released their first 8 song album “Air Signs”. The songs were bouncy and minimal, held together by layers of analog drum machines. In September 2018 the group released their EP ‘Dust’. Over time a natural evolution in the sound of the band has developed. Their sound has become much more dreamy and slightly harder with more guitar feedback and noise. Since the pandemic the band has been working on writing their third collection of songs in hopes to release it sometime in the near future.
Nate Wey & The Soft Colors make music in Portland, OR. Inspired by cinema, nature, David Lynch, and architecture. The live bands includes current and former members of Blitzen Trapper, Black Doors, Wildflowers, and others.

Gravure with Grimiss and Criminelly + Pillbug
Gravure One thousand, one hundred and eleven years ago, Tsaar Simeon I the Great sealed his five most annoying concubines in a narrow crate and ordered them buried underneath his tomb. In the present day, the Portland Art Museum, cracked the ancient sarcophagus, freeing nimble maidens for the time in centuries. They are now evading authorities, sleeping in shifts in an undisclosed Puddletown studio, looking for eligible bachelor Tsaars in the Pacific NW.
Grimiss formed in the autumn of 2020 in Portland, Oregon by guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Ryan
Tippmann and vocalist Tristina Bumgarner, Grimiss combines intricate sonic atmospheres
with driving rhythms, searing guitars and sultry yet powerful vocals to create music that is
both complex and immersive..

Valentines Day Special Featuring: Mt Fog with Twingle and Tispur
Tispur is a dream-folk project fronted by Samwise Carlson which forms intricate guitar, dream-like vocals, and ornate lyricism to excite evocative imagery of imaginary worlds. Samwise is known for their angelic vocal style, impressive range and gently hypnotic, moving performances akin to the spirits of Nick Drake, Vashti Bunyan, and Joanna Newsom
