Legendary garage-punk lifers The Unclaimed hit The Six with CHEEX, The Only Living Boys, and Thee Daywalkers.

The Unclaimed are legendary Los Angeles sixties-punk / garage rock cult heroes, originally formed in 1979 by Shelley Ganz and Sid Griffin. Their raw 1980 Moxie EP helped spark the U.S. neo-garage scene, and their sound still hits with fuzzed-out guitars, psych-pop hooks, Farfisa bite, and dark garage swagger. Their 2024 album Creature of the Maui Loon was recorded before Ganz’s passing, and the band now continues with guitarist/vocalist Patrick Cleary, who joined Shelley in the reformed Unclaimed lineup and helps carry the band’s songs into the next chapter. Their first single from the upcoming LP, “Here’s The Door,” is out now, with a new full-length of Shelley Ganz originals due this summer on Outro Records.

CHEEX - Portland based Power-Pop

The Only Living Boys bring young Portland power-pop with punk edges, bright hooks, and a live show that hits with the kind of scrappy confidence you want from a band still becoming dangerous in real time. One of the newer local acts worth catching early.

Thee Daywalkers are a new Portland garage crew worshipping at the altar of 60s teenbeat, fuzz, and jangly rock’n’roll. Raw, sharp, and built for a packed basement room.

Portland instrumental post-rock/post-metal band formed in 2012. Their music leans vast, atmospheric, heavy, and melodic, with comparisons made to Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Jakob, Tool, and Isis.

X Suns
Seattle instrumental space-rock/post-rock band formed in 2009. They describe their sound around instrumental space rock, with ties to post-rock, math rock, and post-metal; they’ve cited bands like Mogwai and Explosions in the Sky as influences.

GVTH DVDDY
Portland duo featuring Kevin Robinson and Jake Endicott. Their sound is built around angular guitar, lush synths, driving rhythms, and contemplative vocals, described by press as “the post-rock sound of ungrounded goth.” Their self-titled debut came out via Velvet Blue Music, with follow-up material released in 2026.

Tenderly thunderous alt-rock, hook-filled post-punk, and PDX grit collide with Valkerie, Die Right + Lexi Nevermind.

Valkerie - In their second project, Myocardia, we meet the alternative rock three piece after accumulated break ups, heart conditions, and deaths. Frontwoman, Rachel Peters, explores these concepts within Myocardia, where she and guitarist, Dan Bacon, solidify the Valkerie sound - that can only to be described as tenderly thunderous. Drummer, Jordan VanSise shines through, marking Valkerie as a combined force to be reckoned with. The group takes lyrical and sonic inspiration from the likes of Paramore, The Cranberries, and Blondie. With two EP's under their belt, Prelude (2025) and Myocardia (2026), Valkerie's future signals a full West Coast tour in the summer of 2026, with more music in the works of these non-stop powerhouses.

Die Right is here to shake it up with a sound that’s equal parts 80s /90s pop-rock nostalgia and gritty post-punk energy. Born from the wreckage of the past but fueled by the fire of today, they serve up irresistibly catchy hooks, blazing guitar solos, angelic harmonies, infectious rhythms, and a live show that’ll have you smiling, singing, and rocking out until the sun comes up. With members originally hailing from the Bay Area, LA and London, Die Right blends their musical backgrounds into something fresh, exciting, and undeniably fun.

Jakki & The Pink Smudge - Named for the way Wise’s lipstick tends to smudge across her face during her energetic live performances, the Pink Smudge’s Y2K influences are both broad and unmistakable, meaningfully filtered through Wise’s distinct pop-punk lens. Still, there’s more to the Pink Smudge than just Wise’s spongy soprano and fuzzy guitar riffs—drummer Charlie Oakes and bassist Oliver Lester bring depth and muscle to the sound, giving the band its full, fleshy form.
