Jewelry Exchange is a Portland, Oregon band probably describable as post-punk. They’re better described as a heady mix of noise rock, krautrock, and dance punk. For their sophomore record, they're laser focused on the opposing yet mutually dependent relationship between groove and chaos. Angular guitar meets syncopated dancefloor bass; odd-time signatures meet four-on-the floor drum kicks. And live, their singer usually ends up meeting the crowd - in the crowd. Jewelry Exchange's sophomore record releases in November, with first single ‘St. Irene’ available now.
A Fish In The River "Combining elements of doom and death metal with the melodies and sensibilities of pnw indie rock, Fish are constantly pushing themselves and their listeners to the brink. Pummeling riffs, guttural screams, soaring melodies, and deeply felt lyrics combine to form really effective, powerful, and courageous music." - Bud Tapes
