Nosila

https://nosilamusic.com/

Alison Segura, musically known as Nosila, started making music with a classical singing degree in one hand and a guitar in the other. For many years she followed the folk singer/songwriter trajectory but didn’t truly find her voice until moving to Portland Oregon in 2017.
Starting over in a new city meant she didn’t have have access to her usual music collaborators. Rather than jump to fill the vacancies, she decided to try producing herself.
As Alison began to learn how to produce it quickly became clear she was no longer making folk music. In 2018 she rebranded and began releasing music as Nosila.
Creating what she calls “sad girl electropop,” Nosila released her first EP in 2019 drawing inspiration from artists like Dirty Projectors, The Japanese House, Billie Eilish, James Blake, Lorde, and Sylvan Esso.
Nosila's sound is shaped by ear-worm melodies, filtered vocal layers, minimalistic beats, and sounds borrowed from r&b, indie, and 80s and 90s pop. Her sound helps tell stories about abuse, addiction, betrayal, justice, connection, healing, and of all things, joy!

Shy Honey

https://shyhoney.com/

Shy Honey is an up and coming electro pop band out of Portland, OR formed in 2019 by lead singer and local Portland singer-songwriter, Anna Gilbert. Shy Honey’s music features epic, reverberant guitars and moody keys with a “prom night” desperation. The music is upbeat, dark and dance worthy with a subtle nod to the sounds that defined music of the 80s and 90s. Gilbert’s honey-dripped vocals float over synthy pop keys and catchy guitar riffs. Both modern and retro, catchy and experimental, Shy Honey is putting a spin on electro pop in a fresh way, garnering the attention of their hometown music community. The band played their debut show to a sold-out Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, OR. Two days later, they were asked to open for a People’s Choice Award-nominated podcast, “Off the Vine” hosted by Kaitlyn Bristowe (former Bachelorette) at a sold-out Aladdin Theater.

Their music have been used in advertisements for Haagen-Dazs, MasterCard & Dutch Bros, and the group performs regularly as a quartet in the Portland area
